SRX Global’s Hypothetical AI Gain Masks Balance Sheet Losses
SRX Global reported a 4.3% gain in its EMJX AI model, but the company labeled the figure as hypothetical and system-generated. The disclosure came two weeks after completing an acquisition, and explicitly stated the gain does not reflect actual trading results or returns on invested capital.
Investors remain in the dark about whether SRX’s strategy performs with company capital. The firm had said in June it deployed capital into high-conviction positions, yet the recent filing fails to link those positions to the EMJX model or its returns. Meanwhile, the balance sheet losses remain undisclosed.
The central investor question persists: does the strategy work with real money? SRX’s first post-acquisition filing avoided connecting the dots, leaving analysts to question the viability of the AI-driven approach while losses pile up elsewhere on the balance sheet.
